Samsung are set to join the 1080p phone party this coming year, as they are rumoured to be prepping a launch for their next flagship device, the Galaxy S IV, for the Consumer Electronics Show.
The new phone is thought to be housing a 1080p display, like that of the HTC Droid DNA, the first 1080p smartphone. Samsung would bump the phone's pixels-per-inch up to 441.

This would make sense as Samsung could easily attempt to break out of their update cycle so that rivalry with Apple's new handset could be kept to a minimum for a while.
