4 Top Android Apps This Week

As I do every weekend, I take the time out to showcase some of the best apps to have come from the week before. This week, there's some pretty special ones. Ever wanted to run Windows 8 on your Android tablet? Or how about draw a whole game? Well then, you should read on...

1. Christmas Countdown Free 2012 | Free | Download

Christmas Countdown 2012 for Android

As we have rolled into December, the festive season is upon us! What better way to celebrate the run up to Christmas than with a virtual advent calender. Every day, you'll get a new mini-game to play, helping the elves or Mr. Claus himself! You can get either the free version, supported by adverts, or the paid version which is pure app.

2. Fake Windows 8 | Free | Download

Windows 8 on Asus Nexus 7

Ever wondered what it would look like if you had Windows 8 running on your Android tablet? Maybe you'd like it more? Well, now you can have a glimpse into that possibility. With Fake Windows 8, you can have some of the most popular features of Windows 8, the live tiles which lead to system apps, the 'Charms Bar' and even the desktop view (although you can't actually use it). The features are limited, but there's just about enough to fool your friends.

3. Draw a Stickman: EPIC | Free and 99p | Download

This is the game you draw! You've doodled before, but this time your doodle comes to life and starts climbing, fighting and even make it rain. You draw your stickman, and he runs around performing your command, as well as following the story plot. There's both free and paid versions, so there's not much of a reason to not download it!

4. Feedly (beta) | Free | Download

Staying up to date with your favourite websites isn't always the best thing to deal with. There's ads, there's that massive loading time. All you want to know is the latest stories. Feedly has been going for a few months, although it's still in beta, but it is already my favourite RSS reader. It comes pre-installed with the most popular RSS feeds so you don't have to go searching for them, too.

That's it for another week! Check back next weekend for the biggest apps of the next seven days! Want us to feature your app? Contact us with the details!
