Review: dbrand Carbon Fiber Nexus 4 Skin

As a proud Nexus 4 owner, you and I both know how important it is to protect the back glass from danger. I've already reviewed various cases for the Android powerhouse, but now I have turned my attention to something a little different.

This is a Carbon Fiber Nexus 4 skin from dbrand inc. It provides protection against scratches on the back of your Nexus 4, while making it even more extraordinary to look at.

This skin covers the back glass plate, and sits nicely on the back, provided you stick it down properly. I had about 5 tries before I got it perfect. I did learn something that may be useful to you, the potential buyers however. When I removed it there was no sticky residue, as is promised by dbrand.

The skin has cut-outs for the camera, flash, Nexus logo and speaker. The Nexus cut-out is very special too. It is the only skin you can get which has this extremely accurate shaping, putting it above the rest of the competition.

Overall I'd say this is a solid purchase, it only costs around $14 shipped so it's fairly cheap too. I've tried many cases on my Nexus 4 since adding the skin, and I can confirm they can all be used with this skin on. It really is very thin.

I'd love to hear what you think in the comments below. Maybe even tell me a case or skin you were thinking of purchasing and I might review it.
